                 Updates On The Whetu break-in  

A few weeks ago you might have read about the break-in at
Ngatea Primary School in their Whetu space on Sunday 14th October.
The investigators have eliminated some suspects except for two suspects who the police are still questioning. 

From what we have been told the suspect was wearing bright clothing,
was very tall and was wearing shoes on both feet.
The police have sent DNA tests to the lab, then they got the two suspects in for an interrogation.  

A couple of days after the questioning one of the suspects came into the police station and confessed to the
police about stealing the chocolates.
but they said that the window was already broken when she was outside the classroom.
She said that she was getting some Rosemary to put on her pizza,
(the reason why this is important is that in the camera footage she looked like she was hiding).  
As everyone knows chocolates can’t solve everything but the police thought that it might be a good idea
to treat their people in training.

Whetu 101

If I was to give advice to the kids that are coming up to Whteu this is what I would say 

1. it is not a must but try and remember your notes for Marimbas (If the Teachers don't have something else fun to do.) 

2.  Come to school with a growth mindset.  

3.  Come to school ready for learning. 

4. Try to come to school with your computer fully charged. 

5. Ask for help if your not sure on what to do. 

6.  If you see something or heard something that isn't good for school tell a teacher as so as possible.

ATHLETICS!

On Monday it was Athletics. The first thing that my age group did was shotput and I think I did well. The next thing was the 100-meter run I came tied 5th with Poppie. Then we got to have a 10-minute break I spent it talking and playing around with Bridgette. But soon enough that fun time had to end, Bridgette was off going to do her running and I was off going to do my high jump. I managed to get to 85 cm and then I failed! I was very surprised that I made it to 85 cm because I'm not that good at high jump. At high jump just before we were about to jump my tooth came out I am very happy that it came out because it was very annoying. Next was long jump I think I did good, but I didn't get first second or third.

Fingerprinting

Fingerprints are important to police investigations because they narrow down suspects.
The things that are in important when lifting a fingerprint, is not to smudge the fingerprint and not to get your fringerprint over the top becuase then the police will think it is you.

Whetu Police are appealing for information following a break in earlier this week.

The incident happened in team Whetu in their Whare pukapuka Ngatea Primary School on Sunday 14.

A offender has stolen their Whetu favourite chocolate bars.

Chapter Chat Round Up

I think that The little house on the prairie is a good book. There were alot of challenges that the Ingalls had to face but they always manged to get though it. I think that the ending of the story was a cliff hanger. This is my favourite chapter chat activity, it is about Texas longhorns . It is my favourite activity becuase I really liked learning about Texas longhorns. I also have another favourtie Chater Chat activity and it was making the menu with poppie, Here is a link.

Remembering 9/11: seventeen years later

               BREAKING NEWS!



Do you know what happened on September 11 2001? well I can tell you what happened in a minute. As you might know we aren't allowed to bring water or any kind of liquid onto an airplane now. But in the 2001 you were allowed any kind of liquid on the planes and they were allowed to bring bats and weapons on the planes. HOW CRAZY IS THAT!?. But now they now longer let us which I think is a very good thing. I can bet you there where some people on the plane who where getting knocked out because of the people with bats hitting them on the head. oh what happened on September 11 2001 you ask? well it is the fulling of the twin tower of course! I will tell you how the twin tower fell. It was a normally Tuesday morning for the West Coast and the East Coast. things were not as good on the air lines on the filghts 77 and 11. Becuase among the passengers there where 19 terrorists abored ready to atack the twin tower. They had a piloit that had a plane to crash them into the twin tower and here is a photo of what it would have looked like!

This was a very sad time becuase alot of people died. The most people that died would have been the ones who the plane crashed into. 

Spring

Spring is my favorite time of year because it is MY BIRTHDAY!

In spring I go out on the farm alot to help with the milking (as I aways do). I also help out with feeding the calfs.

I have Three Blokes in my life that I look up too. 

Dad is one of them, I made this word art that describes him.

Uncle Al is other one of them, he is a big part of my sports. 

And then there is Pops my favourite one out of them all, everyone knows I was his favourite and that is true. I am always going to remember him. 

          

Cross Country!

This year is my Second year of doing Cross Country. At first I didn't want to go, but when we started running I started to enjoy it.

Winter sports!

                         Winter sports! 






And in today's paper I will be telling you about my winter sports! I used to play three winter sports but then I had to give up one to make it work.The three sports I played are, Rugby, Hockey and Netball, The sport I gave up was rugby, I soon found out that rugby and hockey clashed so I gave rugby up. Netball has been good, my team is got some of the same people as last year but that is ok because we know how Tarsh works. The People who are in my team are, Poppie, Celena, Ella V, Tayler, Elise, Reegan, Sammie,Jasmine and me. We have lost alot of games but we have won some too. In Hockey my team is Sammie, Josh, Liarah, Riley, Quinn (this Quinn doesn't go to this school), Cerys, Reuben and me. This season we have done good, last weekend I scored my first goal in hockey and that was what made me happy!. Term reflection

         Term reflection

This term I have enjoyed having power play because you get to talk to people you would never talk to. My favourite place in play is the puzzle table, because I like a little challenge and a thousand piece puzzle is a challenge. In the play room there is a wall at the back that says are you up for the challenge? I have also liked doing lino printing even though I wasn’t here to print it was still fun doing the outline for it, the thing is that I wasn’t happy about the color I got wich was red. I was going to put green on it.But I guess I wasn’t here and it need to be done so I got what I was given. This term I have really enjoyed Learning and the making. My Favourite thing would have to be origami paper dress (Mrs Loft helped me) I also liked doing funky mason jars and upcycled pen holders, but I made it for my art supplies. I also did creative inkers witch was fun, I made a card for my nan and I made one for my mum to put on here desk at her work.
